Many Thanks
Many thanks for sending the smaller size (Med) of the Urban Walkers - they arrived last Wednesday. We finally had a chance for a walk on Friday and they worked very nicely. Thank you for making such a great product and for your superior Customer Service. We will be mailing back the bigger size boots to you (without packaging, correct) on Tuesday - many thanks for including everything, including the envelope and postage so that we can return them directly to you. May your business continue to grow.
Enjoy a GLORIOUS Day!

Fits a hard-to-fit basset
I've been dealing with my newly-rescued basset's sore paw for three weeks now - the vet says to keep it clean and dry. It's a late spring in Wisconsin, we still have several inches of wet snow on the ground, so that's been very difficult. I've been taping on socks, plastic bags, home-made paw protectors - nothing will stay on her odd-shaped foot and leg. My Healers paw bootie came today (I ordered the first aid kit to keep in my car - that will be perfect to take on trips!) - the bootie is easy to put on, the unique design conforms to her ankle/leg shape, and she is currently prancing through the kitchen as if she's worn it forever. Great product, easy to use, really a problem solver!
Sore Paw Relief
My dog Dax has severe allergies and is constantly licking his paws until they bleed and get infected. When he has a flare up I put the booties on him until the licking stops and he finds a new distraction. The Urban Walker boots are also great for my dog to walk around in and are lightweight and easy to put on. I had been looking online for quite a while at dog boots and hadn’t found any that I thought would be appropriate for sore paws. Thank you Healer’s PetCare for coming up with such a great product and being so very helpful!
Allow her paw to heal quickly
When my dog cut her paw at the park I was glad to find a product that would allow her paw to heal quickly and keep her from licking or biting at it. In addition, the product shipped very quickly from the manufacturers website!
Finally relief for our sweet girl
Writing with an unqualified endorsement of these booties. Have been struggling for over a month to come up with something to help us deal with our dog’s injured paw. Pads were torn off, nails worn down to bleeding, bandaging would keep too moist, socks would pull off the delicate healing skin — finally relief for our sweet girl. Very easy to put on, no pulling on and off required, stays dry and she seems not even aware there is anything on her foot. A wonderful product at last!
Those Look Great
I would have loved those instead of trying to keep old socks on Fred’s paw. That was an interesting week!

I spent part of last Thursday morning “pestering” our assistant’s dog with the booties you dropped off at the clinic. The dog is a 40+lb mixed breed with really small paws. I didn’t have mediums so I tried the smalls on her and they seemed to work well. If the insert was in the bootie it did seem to slip off more easily though. I also put the extra large bootie on one of Dr. Rinta’s patient (an Irish Wolfhound) and it worked well too. No paw abnormalities with these dogs…mainly just a “fitting”. The assistant’s dog seemed to get used to the booties quite quickly.
I then did a water test to see how water-resistant the booties were. They did get damp on the inside but only very mildly and I really soaked the outside well. I thought this result was pretty good! I would likely recommend to owners to have their pets avoid getting the booties wet, but if the dog accidentally stepped in water or walked in wet grass, I know the feet would stay dry or only get very mildly damp.
My conclusion is I like them and I think they have a place in my practice. I’m eager to try them as a bandage on a patient with a paw injury, incision, or dermatitis. I also would be interested in trying a pair for my own dog who has paw deformities as a result of being burned in a house fire as a puppy. He often walks around 3-legged and maybe these booties could protect his paw where he is missing his normal pads. And unlike booties I have tried on him in the past, maybe these booties would actually stay on!! I know your intent is for these to be medical bandage booties and not dog “shoes” but it might be an interesting test with my dog and your next generation of bootie! You are doing such a great job. Your hard work is going to improve the recoveries of many injured and painful paws!!
